An article in the Feb 5 issue of the New York Times points to recent events in Dnipropetrovsk as indicative of a loss of support for the incumbent presidential administration

Ukraine’s previous pro-Western leaders did serious damage to their political careers in attempting alignments with Yanukovych, which is why UDAR wants nothing to do with that.”

Make the case for European integration and regime change from their outlook on the crisis, instead of the dominant mindset of Western Ukrainians or those who are pro-European integration.  How many of them understand that though Viktor Fedorovych may have been democratically elected, he has since changed the laws to breed cronyism, corruption and incompetence?  Do they realize what a police state will bring to their children and grandchildren?  Don’t assume they understand.  It’s surprising how often humans overlook what seems so obvious to others.
